Stop #3 of the WDRA Rocky Mountain
Mayhem Tour stormed into Thunder Mountain Speedway in
Olathe Colorado June 9th with 21 drivers and their Super Late Models.
The WDRA regulars were joined by 7 cars from the Denver area making the trip
over the Continental Divide. Mike McGinn, Dean Moore, and Terry Boushee won
the heat races and Dean Moore won the Big Willies Garage Cash Dash. The “A”
Feature started out with 2006 Champion Dean Moore on the pole but after a
few restarts Wellington Utah’s Mike McGinn took the point and looked like he
was going to break the winning streak of Jeep Berry but lapped traffic and a
few more cautions played into Jeep’s hands as he took the lead on lap 24 and
went on to win the 30 lap feature event.
The next WDRA event is at Diamond Mountain Speedway in Vernal Utah on June
23rd. For more information about the WDRA, its drivers or its sponsors visit
