HOME RULES DRIVERS RESULTS GALLERY SCHEDULE REGISTRATION

(Price, UT) Sixteen WDRA Super Late Models rolled into Desert Thunder Sppedway on Saturday night to join the open wheeled modifieds, street stocks, pure stocks and the classes for a great night of racing. The weather was warm and the wind was blustery, but the crew at DTS worked all night to keep the track racy, allowing 3 and 4 wide heat races. Heat 1 found Greg Scott on the pole with defending WDRA Champion on the outside. The heat was won by Jeep Berry, followed by Moore and Scott. Heat 2 had Jason Davis on the pole, and Davis lep wire to wire, followed by Michael McGinn and Brett Hallmark, who raced from last to third.

The top four in passing points came out for a four lap dash, in which they finished in the order they started, Berry, Davis Hallmark and McGinn. This set the field for the 30 laps feature, which was the last race of the night. By the time the late models rolled onto the track for the feature, the track was in superb condition, and the winds had died down. The Late Models gave the fans a great show, going caution free until lap 23. Jeep Berry made it two for two in 2007 feature race, leading green to checkered, with Brett Hallmark giving chace until contact with a lapped car destroyed the left front suspention on the 75H of Hallmarkon lap 27. Jeep was able to run away and claim his second feature of the young season. Jeep was followed to the checkers by Jason Davis, Dan Shepard, coming up from 10th, Dean Moore, and Corey Smith.

The WDRA Late Models will next be in action on June 9th at Thunder Mountain Speedway in Olathe, CO .
